EPA – Risk Communication and the Climate Crisis

This multi-day workshop will bring together noted climate and risk scientists, EPA leadership, and Federal/ State/ Tribal leaders to discuss and identify key risk communication challenges for EPA and other Federal Partners in the context of a rapidly changing climate and associated extreme weather events. Sessions will include a focus on better understanding the overlapping mix of climate risks and associated cumulative impacts faced by communities pursuing environmental justice, improved translation of scientific knowledge and understanding into more effective risk communications and messaging, and reflective implementation of identified best practices for risk communication within EPA and other Federal Agencies.
