RFF – 2023 Transportation Economics and Policy Workshop

This month marks the release of the US Transportation Decarbonization Blueprint, a joint effort across multiple federal agencies to chart a path toward a low-carbon transportation sector that can help achieve economic, health, safety, environmental, and equitable access objectives. Over the coming years, policymakers at all levels will make key decisions that affect innovation and adoption of new transportation technologies—and both policymakers and other experts have signaled a need for research that integrates engineering, economics, and policy perspectives to inform these decisions.

This one-day event will highlight interdisciplinary research on the impacts of emerging transportation technologies on economics, environment, equity, health, safety, and social welfare. The event will feature discussions with policy experts on the future of US transportation policies.
