Smart Prosperity Institute – Policy Change, Energy Democracy & Inclusive Energy Policies
WISER, SPI, and WiRE welcome you to three connected online and open symposia this year showcasing the work of a diverse and interdisciplinary group of energy transitions scholars. The three symposia address vital topics central to energy transformations in Canada and abroad. This project will address diversity gaps in energy research and practice by increasing the profile of racially diverse energy scholars who identify as women, genderfluid, or non-binary. Topics addressed include Indigenous sovereignty, gender diverse leadership, advances in energy modeling, policy change, energy poverty and understanding inclusive and democratic energy transitions.
This symposium will consist of three panels:
- – Policy Change for Energy Transitions
- – Energy Democracy & Participation
- – Inclusivity & Justice Dimensions of Energy Policies
