This paper discusses ways to enhance the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change. The paper draws on experiences under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol over the last 30 years to inform the way forward, and considers the role of science, equity, and leadership in driving international climate action.
