OurEnergyPolicy – Electrifying Transport: The State of Electric Vehicles
It’s become clear that electric vehicles will play a major part in the future of transportation. Recent actions from the Biden administration, such as an August executive order aiming for 50% of new vehicle sales to be zero-emission by 2030 and a $7.5 billion investment in electric vehicles as part of the recent infrastructure deal support this vision of a decarbonized transportation sector. Industry groups have also made commitments to expand their electric vehicle offerings. GM, for example, recently announced that their lineup would be fully electric by 2035. This webinar will examine the current state of the industry, the challenges associated with meeting these goals, and panelists’ views on required policy support.
